European media organisations are urging the European Parliament to support an extension of the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) compliance period, warning that without it, the ability of publishers to deliver news, scientific journals, books, and other printed materials could be jeopardized.
The coalition calls on lawmakers to grant additional time, arguing that this extension will allow operators to meet their obligations without compromising the availability of information.
